These images may not be copied, reproduced or altered for any purpose whatsoever, or published in another publication, whether paper-based or electronic, without the permission of the copyright owners. The purchase of a print of any photographic image from Dog World SA does not permit the owner of the print to reproduce it in any manner or form, adapt (alter) it, or publish it. These rights remain vested in Dog World SA by law and the use of such photographic image in, for instance, an advertisement or a breed feature may only be done under licence from Dog World SA on agreed terms.
Copyright infringement is a serious criminal offence and, in terms of the South African Copyright Act (No. 98 of 1978, as amended), a person convicted on a first offence can incur a fine of up to R5 000 per infringing item, or imprisonment of up to three years. On a second offence, the infringer can be fined up to R10 000 per item or up to five years imprisonment.
